Disney 2013
I absolutely love Cars and Cars 2. I have collections of Cars toys... so getting to experience 'Cars Land' in REAL LIFE, that was just a dream come true.
Disney 2013
Getting to go to Disneyland and California Adventure was a lot of fun. We hopped on the plane to get there Sunday, April 14th later in the evening and arrived a bit later in Anaheim.
I went with Indya, Matt, Dewan and Aly. It was a great time and I got to spend a lot of time in the park. We had 3 day park hopper passes to which we spent all 3 days - all day long, in the park - we ended up spending the majority of the time in Cars Land which was absolutely incredible. The amount of life that was brought to the movie was just surreal. I mean, I've always thought that it was incredible to create a cartoon movie based on a real place, but to create a real place and real town based on a movie - that was amazing.
We were able to experience the Cozy Cone Motel which was a 'drive-thru' restaurant of sorts. They had cone-shaped bread bowls served with chili inside and they sold Cars Land commemorative cups shaped like safety cones - I had to buy one. I also had the opportunity to go on the Cars ride 5 different times and experience the 2 different sides of the track.
I also had the opportunity to see Luigi's and Flo's come alive - It was amazing to see how real they were. As you walk down the street, it makes you feel as though you've stepped directly into the movie.
Aside from Cars Town, we got to ride the Matterhorn, Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear's Star Command, California Screamin' and quite a few other rides. By far, the best place to eat was the Taste Pilot's Grill next to Soarin' Over California. The best burger I've had in quite a while...
Ultimately, it was an awesome time and and incredible trip that I got to spend with amazing people.
We ended up leaving the park on Wednesday, April 17th at 6pm to get back on the plane and head home. Where this adventure ended... we barely had time to pack before the next one began... Magic Mountain 2013.
